For this lab, you are going to make a scissor lift, or articulated scissor mechanism.

The main idea of the scissor mechanism is that it can expand and contract in length based on the connected parallelograms in the model.

Instructions

1. Cut the Cardboard.
2. Create the X shape Using a hole puncher, make a hole in the center of each element at the cross point.
3. Secure the cross point with a brass fastener. 
4. Connect several Xs together at their ends with brass fasteners. 
5. Adjust and experiment!
