Some of the precedents of our original robot design were robots people already made. The key thing these robots had in common was a that they cared for other people. For Baymax, his only job was to ensure there's were okay and for the other robot it was supposed to act like another person devoted to being kind. 

This storyboard is one example of how this device can be used. In the story, it shows someone who is mad and then takes out the device and is able to calm down. Some other ways this could be used or to help someone concentrate by using it as a fidget tool and using it as to not distract other people.
